Learn how to efficiently manage your products in Sidely using filters, structured views, and detailed product sheets. Proper organization of your Products page is key to keeping your catalog up-to-date and meeting your business needs.


Preparing Your Products Page

To ensure a coherent and complete Products page, certain elements need to be configured in advance:

  1. Set Up Your Brands: Define the brands of your products for easy organization and filtering.

  2. Set Up Your Categories: Structure your catalog by grouping products into logical categories.

  3. Create Your Taxes: Add applicable VAT rates or other taxes for your products.

  4. Import Your Products: Upload your catalog to Sidely via an Excel file for quick setup.


The Products Page: Overview

The Products page displays all your products in a clear, easy-to-navigate table format.

Available Filters

You can filter your products using several criteria:

  • Tags: Identify products with custom labels.

  • Brand: Filter by a specific brand.

  • Category: Narrow your search by product type.

  • Assortments: View products grouped in assortments (see creating assortments).

Product Table Columns

Products are displayed in a table with the following columns:

  • Photo: A visual preview of the product.

  • Product Name: The name assigned to the product.

  • Reference: A unique code or identifier for the product.

  • Category: The category the product belongs to.

  • Price: The sale price for the customer.

  • Recommended Price: The suggested retail price for consumers.

  • Stock: The quantity currently available in stock.

  • Availability: The product’s availability status (in stock, out of stock, etc.).


The Product Sheet: Details and Management

Clicking on a product name in the table takes you to its detailed product sheet, which includes all key information for managing the product.

General Information

  • Photo: The main image of the product.

  • Summary: A brief description of the product.

  • Full Description: Detailed information about the product, including specific features and attributes.

Assortments and Alternative Products

  • Assortments: A list of assortments the product is included in.

  • Alternative Products: Options to add replacement products (useful in case of stock shortages or to propose alternatives).

Information on the Left Side of the Product Sheet

The left-hand column provides an overview, including:

  • Product Name

  • Reference

  • Brand

  • Category

  • Available Stock

  • Price (customer sales price)

  • Recommended Price (retail price)

  • Units Per Package (PCB): Number of units per package.

  • Taxes: VAT and other applicable taxes (export, excise, sugar tax, etc.).

  • Barcodes (EAN-JAN): Standard product identifiers.

1. What if a product does not appear on the Products page?

Ensure the product has been successfully imported and that all mandatory fields (name, category, etc.) are correctly filled in.

2. How do I configure taxes before importing a product?

Go to Sidely’s tax settings, create the necessary taxes, and associate them with products during the import process.

3. Can a product be assigned to multiple categories?

No, each product can only belong to one category. However, it can be included in multiple assortments.

4. How can I add a photo to an existing product?

Access the product sheet, click on the photo area, and upload the desired image from your device.

5. Are alternative products visible to customers?

No, alternative products are only visible to Sidely users and are used internally to provide substitute options when needed.
