At Sidely, we make it a priority that your field data is fully taken into account. To do so, you must submit your forms at the end of the day. A form left as a draft will not be included in your sales targets or in your performance reports.
Why finalizing your drafts is crucial
Every sales visit is a strategic action. When a form remains in draft status, it is considered unfinished, and therefore not taken into account when tracking your activity. This can skew your indicators and reduce visibility on your actual actions.
How do I check and submit my drafts?
Here are the simple steps to follow in your Sidely app to identify and complete pending forms:
To check your drafts, click "Forms":
On this page, you will find all your drafts:
Access your forms
Open the main menu (left panel of the app)
Click Forms
Select the relevant type (e.g. Retail visit, Audit, Merchandising, etc.)
Identify drafts
A list appears with all the forms created. Drafts are clearly identified. These are the ones you need to finalize.
Complete and submit
Click a draft form to open it
Fill in the missing information
Click Submit once the form is complete
Best practices
Get into the habit of checking your drafts every evening. This ensures your activity is reported accurately and avoids omissions in your reporting.
FAQ
1. What happens if I leave a form as a draft?
It will not be counted in your reports or in your sales targets.
2. How do I tell a draft form from a submitted form?
Drafts appear with a distinct status in the list of forms. Once submitted, the status changes and the form can no longer be edited.
3. Can I edit a form once it has been submitted?
No. To ensure traceability, a submitted form can no longer be edited. It is therefore important to review it before submitting.
4. Are drafts synced?
Yes, drafts are synced, but as long as they are not submitted, they are not considered usable for sales purposes.
5. Can I get an alert about my unsubmitted drafts?
This feature is under consideration. In the meantime, we recommend checking manually at the end of the day.
