Bulk edit companies from the Companies page

Apply changes to all or part of your database, such as reassigning one or more points of sale to another sales rep.

You will often need to reassign stores (or companies) to another team member: a territory change, temporary cover, or an internal reorganization. Sidely lets you handle these changes quickly and easily with bulk owner editing.

Follow these steps to assign one or more stores to another owner.

1. Go to the company list

  • In the Sidely web app, click "All companies" to display the full list of points of sale.

  • Use the filters or the search bar to find the stores you want to reassign.

2. Select the relevant stores

  • Check the boxes to the left of the company rows you want to edit.

  • You can select several at once, even across multiple pages.

In this example, we are editing companies in the 75010 postal code

3. Start the bulk edit

  • Once you have made your selection, click the pencil icon at the bottom of the page.

  • A side panel opens with the editable properties.

4. Change the owner

  • In the drop-down list of available fields, choose "Owner".

  • Select the new user you want to assign the companies to.

  • Double-check your selection before confirming.

5. Confirm the change

  • Click "Edit".

  • A pop-up shows a summary of the number of companies affected.

  • Confirm to complete the assignment.

💡 Tip: Remember to let the new user know they have inherited new points of sale so they can include them in their next route.
