FAQ — Preparing your route

Quick answers to the most frequently asked questions about route preparation and the optimizer.

Why doesn't the optimizer include all my points of sale?
Because with the constraints you have set (start time, end time, duration per visit, travel time), not everything fits into the day. Sidely tells you how many visits are feasible. You can manually add a visit back in, extend the time range or reduce the average duration per visit.

My travel times look wrong.
Check the means of transport selected when optimizing: calculations are based on real routes and differ significantly between walking and driving.

How many points of sale can I optimize at once?
Up to 30. Beyond one day, Sidely automatically spreads the route over several days.

Can I prepare my routes in advance?
Yes. You can schedule 2, 3, 4 or 5 days ahead and readjust the day before from the day's map.

Can I mix customers and prospects in the same route?
Yes. You can combine customer visits (on-trade or retail) and prospects to push around a fixed appointment.

My view doesn't show any points of sale.
Most often, filters are combined with AND when they should be OR (or vice versa), or one criterion excludes everything. Check the AND/OR combination and remove a filter to test.
