Shelf allocation and in-store materials management (POS)

Allocate products by shelf and declare in-store materials (POS displays, in-store signage, BRI) in the engine so you can track them during visits.

The multidimensional engine isn't just for assortments and orders: it also handles shelf organization and the declaration of in-store materials.

Shelf allocation. In Defined values, you assign each product to its shelf (and, following the same logic, to its segment). This ensures the product is displayed in the right place for field teams — for example, an organic product on the organic shelf rather than the conventional one. Incorrect allocation results in a product appearing on the wrong shelf.

Declaring in-store materials. Using the product type, you declare your merchandising elements: POS displays (PLV), in-store signage (ILV), BRI, display stands, shelf talkers, in-store activations… Once declared, they appear on the materials screen during the visit: the sales rep enters the value of the material observed in the store.

You can then generate a report of materials invested per store, which is useful for checking that POS materials and display stands are well distributed across your store network, and not always concentrated in the same places.

💡 Tip: declare your in-store materials as soon as the account is set up. If they are not declared as a "product type", they won't appear on the materials screen, and tracking POS materials becomes impossible.
