Create user teams

Learn how to create and manage user teams in Sidely to structure your sales team and grant the right permissions.

In Sidely, organizing your users into teams is key to structuring your sales force and sharing out responsibilities effectively. Teams let you group your sales reps, managers or administrators by role and give them the right permissions.
This is managed through the Security groups feature, which helps you control access and manage your teams easily.

Create a user team step by step

  1. Open the settings

    • Open the Settings menu in Sidely.

    • Click Account settings, then Security groups.

      Click Settings
      Click Account settings
  2. Create or select a group

    • For a new team, click Create a security group.

    • Give it a clear name (e.g. "North Sales Team", "Retail Managers").

      Click Security groups
      Click the group
  3. Set the team's permissions

    • In the Permissions tab, grant the appropriate rights:

      • View / Read / Create / Update / Delete

      • Customize them by role (e.g. a sales rep can view and create, but not delete).

  4. Add team members

    • In the Members section, click + to add a user.

    • Select the members you want in this team.

  5. Save the configuration

    • Once permissions and members are set, click Save to confirm the creation of your team.

💡 Tip: consider creating a dedicated team for your managers so they get an overall view (reports, targets) without interfering with your sales reps' day-to-day work.
