Edit a user's information

How to change a user's email, name, group or role in Sidely.

To change a user's email, last name, first name or group, go to Settings → Users, click the user and edit the relevant fields.

⚠️ Changing a user's email changes their login. Let them know so they use their new email next time they log in.

Change a user's group or team

In the user profile, the Group or Team field lets you move the sales rep to another structure. This change affects:

  • The data they see in their reports (visibility scope)

  • The forms they can access (if group restrictions are in place)

  • How their activity appears in managers' reports

Change a user's role

The roles available in Sidely are usually Administrator, Manager and Sales rep. The role determines what the user can do (create reports, access settings, see other reps' portfolios…). You can change it from the user profile.

The email can't be edited

If the email field is greyed out, your profile doesn't have permission to edit this user's information. Only an administrator can make this change.

Change your own email

To change your own login email, click the gear icon → User settings → Personal information.
