Teams in Sidely let you group several users together and organize your sales force more easily.
You can change a team's members at any time by adding or removing users. This setup is especially important when you use teams to manage data visibility: depending on the permissions configured on your account, members of the same team may get wider visibility on other members' data.
1. Open team management
On the Sidely web platform, go to Settings.
In the left-hand menu, then open:
Account settings > Teams
This page lists all the teams created on your account, along with the number of users in each.
2. Select the team to edit
Click the team name.
A panel automatically opens on the right of your screen. It shows the team name and all the users who are currently members.
3. Add a user to the team
To add a new member, click the blue "+" button below the list of users.
You can then select the user you want to add to the team.
Once added, their name appears straight away in the list of members.
4. Remove a user from the team
To remove a member, find the user in the list and click the small trash can icon 🗑️ to the right of their name.
The user is then removed from the team.
💡 Good to know: this doesn't delete the user's Sidely account. It only removes them from this team.
5. Understand how teams affect data visibility
A team's members can affect data visibility in Sidely. Depending on the visibility rules configured on your account, putting several users in the same team can give them wider visibility on the data linked to the team's members.
Conversely, removing a user from a team can change the scope of data they can access.
So it's important to check your teams' members whenever you want to widen or restrict a user's visibility.
